The TOOCAA NOVA is a fully enclosed, Class 1 desktop diode laser engraver and cutter with an A4 (297 x 210 mm) work area. A 5MP AI camera, 3 second autofocus and smart air assist take care of the setup steps that slow most beginners down, so you can prepare a first project with guided setup. Assembly and learning time vary.
Choose the 10W diode module for fine detail or the 20W module for faster, deeper cuts, then pick a bundle. The NOVA engraves at up to 36,000 mm/min, tilts its X-axis 90 degrees for rotary work without risers, and runs quietly enough (50 dB) for a home, classroom or shared studio.

The NOVA combines an A4 work area, camera placement, autofocus and interchangeable laser modules. Its rotating X-axis supports in-machine rotary setups without raising the machine.

Engrave (10W and 20W diode): basswood, tung, pine, plywood, beech, walnut, bamboo, MDF, lacquered metal, tinplate, stainless steel, anodized aluminum, dark-colored glass, slate, ceramics, jade, marble, shale, leather, fabric, canvas, cardboard, corrugated cardboard, plastics and dark-colored acrylic (except blue).
Cut: basswood up to 6 mm in one pass with the 10W module, or up to 10 mm in one pass with the 20W module.
Mark with the optional 2W infrared module: all kinds of metal, leather, opaque plastic, dark non-transparent acrylic, stone, circuit boards, and glass or ceramic with laser marking paper. The 2W module engraves only and does not cut.
Project ideas: custom tumblers and glasses, wooden coasters and signs, leather patches and wallets, slate plaques, jar lids, spoons, ornaments, name tags and classroom STEM projects. TOOCAA Studio includes 1,000+ ready-to-use templates across 25+ themes.
Choose 10W for compatible engraving and thinner-stock projects; choose 20W when sample tests show it reduces passes on your cutting jobs. Both share the A4 field, so more power does not make larger parts fit. For comparison, Creality’s enclosed Falcon A1 10W lists a 381 × 305mm field; check your largest design against the NOVA’s 297 × 210mm usable area.
Starter supplies the selected diode module and listed air/bed equipment. Creator adds the rotary, and Home Studio adds the purifier. One selected diode head is supplied; the other power head and 2W IR option are separate. Confirm your cup’s dimensions, rotary grip and lid/axis configuration before planning drinkware production.
Calibrate with the intended work surface, check focus and preview the design on scrap. Tagged-material presets recognize supported TOOCAA tags; they are not a chemical analysis of unknown material. Confirm composition, extraction and settings, especially for plastics and coated metals. A purifier does not remove every gas. Avoid PVC/vinyl and unknown stock without material-specific approval.
Use TOOCAA Studio for its supported camera, AI and material workflows; AI features may require credits. LightBurn needs a compatible separate license and may not reproduce every Studio feature. Verify current OS, connection and firmware support before purchase.

TOOCAA Studio is the main software, with AI auto parameters, a material library, 1,000+ templates and AI image tools (AI credits required). LightBurn is also supported. Both run on Windows and macOS, and the NOVA connects by USB Type-C or Wi-Fi.
Yes, it is a fully enclosed Class 1 laser with lid-open stop, tilt and flame detection, an emergency stop switch and a child password lock. Smoke still needs to go somewhere: vent it outdoors or use the TOOCAA NOVA Smoke Purifier (included in the Home Studio Bundle), and never leave a job running unattended.
Both use the same machine, work area and speed. The 10W has a finer 0.08 x 0.13 mm spot for detail work and cuts basswood up to 6 mm in one pass. The 20W cuts up to 10 mm in one pass for thicker, faster cutting. Modules are interchangeable, so you can add the other later.
